Installation on Windows
OSFISKAL L-PFR Windows is installed with a single installer file. The installation takes a few minutes, and afterwards the device runs by itself, every time the computer starts.
What you need
- A computer with Windows 10 or Windows 11, 32-bit or 64-bit.
- An account with administrator rights on that computer. It is needed only for the installation; the cashier later works with an ordinary account.
- A smart card reader that supports ISO/IEC 7816 and works with Windows, and the secure element (card) you received from the Tax Administration, with its PIN.
- A free USB port for the reader.
- A USB drive (flash drive) for local audit.
- Free disk space: about 1 GB for every 180,000 receipts the device keeps until the Tax Administration collects them.
- An activation key from my.osfiskal.com.
- An internet connection, wired or wireless (WiFi), for activation and for sending data to the Tax Administration. If the computer reaches the internet through a firewall, allow outgoing HTTPS connections (port 443). Receipts are signed without the internet too.
Download
Download the installer file OSFISKAL-L-PFR-Windows-1.0.0.exe from
osfiskal.com.
Installation
- Run
OSFISKAL-L-PFR-Windows-1.0.0.exe. - Windows asks whether you allow this app to make changes to your device. Click Yes.
- On the first page click Dalje (Next), then Instaliraj (Install).
- Wait for the installation to finish. At the end the page Uređaj je instaliran i pokrenut (The device is installed and running) appears.
- Click Završi (Finish).
The device window opens right after the installation. Continue with the steps after the installation.
If the last page reads Uređaj NIJE instaliran (The device is NOT
installed), the device does not work and issues no receipts. A record of
what happened is in the file
C:\Program Files (x86)\OSFISKAL L-PFR\alati\instalacija.txt (on 32-bit
Windows in C:\Program Files\OSFISKAL L-PFR\alati\instalacija.txt). Run the
installation again, and if the error repeats, send that file to support.
What the installation sets up
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Service OSFISKAL L-PFR | Signs receipts and sends data to the Tax Administration. Starts with the computer, also when nobody is signed in, and restarts by itself if it stops. |
| Device window OSFISKAL L-PFR | Where the activation key and the PIN are entered and the device state is shown. Opens when you sign in to Windows, and you can always open it from the Start menu. |
| Device memory | C:\ProgramData\osfiskal-lpfr. Receipts and data are kept here until the Tax Administration collects them. Only the service and administrators have access. |
| Firewall rule OSFISKAL L-PFR (8010) | Lets an ESIR on another computer on the local network connect to port 8010. |
The service answers at http://127.0.0.1:8010 on the same computer. An ESIR
on another computer uses this computer's IP address and port 8010, for
example http://192.168.1.20:8010. See Connecting the ESIR.
The firewall rule applies to private and domain networks. If the computer's network is marked as public in Windows, an ESIR on another computer cannot connect. In the Windows settings, under Network & internet, set the network profile to Private.
After the installation
- Plug the reader with the secure element into a USB port.
- In the device window, enter the activation key from my.osfiskal.com.
- Enter the secure element's PIN.
The PIN is never stored. It is entered again after every computer restart and every time the card is taken out of the reader.
Updating
You install a new version the same way as the first: run the new installer file and follow the same steps. The installation stops the device, replaces the program and starts it again. Receipts, data waiting to be sent and settings stay where they were. After an update, enter the PIN again.
Uninstalling
- Open the Start menu and run OSFISKAL L-PFR deinstalacija (uninstall), or remove OSFISKAL L-PFR Windows from the list of apps in the Windows settings.
- Confirm the removal.
The device is not removed while its memory holds data the Tax Administration has not collected yet. A message then appears with the number of such packages. Wait for the device to send the data over the internet or run a local audit, then uninstall again.
After uninstalling, the device memory stays in C:\ProgramData\osfiskal-lpfr,
because it is the taxpayer's data.
