Audit

An audit is the transfer of the data about issued receipts from the device to the Tax Administration's system. When the Tax Administration has received the data, it issues a proof of audit. The device hands it to the card, the card resets its limit to zero, and only then does the device delete the packages it was keeping.

There are two ways:

  • Internet audit: the device sends the data by itself while it has the internet. This is the usual way and needs nothing from you.
  • Local audit: the data is carried on a USB drive, when the device has no internet.

How the data is kept

For every signed receipt the device writes an audit package to its memory before the ESIR receives the signed receipt. Packages are encrypted with AES-256, with the key the technical guide prescribes, and they are the same for internet and local audit. A package is never changed or replaced with a new one, and it is deleted only when the proof of audit arrives.

The five-day deadline

Every receipt must reach the Tax Administration's system within five days of being issued. The device tracks this deadline in the window, in the line Rok (Deadline): orange when the deadline is near, red when it has passed. If the device has no internet for longer, run a local audit before the deadline.

Package memory

The device keeps the audit data until the proof of audit arrives. The memory holds about 180,000 receipts (about 1 GB). When the memory is nearly full, the window says so, and when it is full, the device issues no new receipts until an audit frees the memory.

Audit and the till

The device signs receipts while it is sending data or writing it to a USB drive. An audit does not slow down issuing receipts.
